Research FocusLow-power embedded computing systems, high-performance computing, and parallel and distributed systems. Developed field programmable gate array-based (FPGA) computing systems for high-performance defense applications and a modular, Linux-based power-aware microsensor system with a 1000x dynamic power range.

Technical management experience includes information systems development for Harris Corporation, aerospace research at Lockheed Research Lab, and personal/mobile computing research and technology innovation at Fuji Xerox. Held a faculty post at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Holds nine patents.
